I like writing, music, chess, fitness, and memorising things. I’m from Bolton and I've lived in the UK, Germany, Canada, Japan, Singapore, the Netherlands, and the USA. Right now, I’m in San Francisco. I have the best wife and son.

I've worked in and thought about startups for a long time. Some of my career privileges:

• Was an early sales and marketing person at The Student Housing Company. I generated millions in sales for them, and later TSHC was bought for ~$2.1bn.
• Became the first employee at Entrepreneurs First, later setting up and running EF across multiple countries as Managing Director / General Partner and on the Executive Committee. EF grew from 0 to ~$250m AUM and created a portfolio worth tens of billions during this time.
• Set up costreaming sites WatchWorldsWith & SuperMagicLink, which were used by ~2000 streamers to create ~9000 hours of content watched millions of times.
• In some form or other I’ve been advising and investing in startups for more than 10 years. I angel invest sometimes — if we worked together in the past and you're building something new, reach out.
